Beauty Brand Review…Makeup Revolution :)

Hey dolls,

Today’s post is long overdue but for me to review products I like to give them a fair chance. Mostly because I change my mind so frequently which is really part of my charm 😉

The two products I’m going to be reviewing today are from Makeup Revolution. This brand is relatively new to Ireland and only limited places have it but I had seen it in Superdrug on my UK travels on a few occasions and bought a few bits and pieces to try.

First up is the Ultra Cream Contour Palette. I got the shade Light – Medium and I bought in O’Sullivans pharmacy (their Wilton and Grange branches definitely stock it) for €8. My first impressions were that I would be more inclined to use this for contouring/highlighting and for my own personal use I was spot on.

I found the formula in this palette good but not great. It’s quite creamy as you’d expect but also a little greasy and sweaty looking. It didn’t provide any major coverage as a concealer. When I used it for contouring it transferred quite easily even after setting with powder and I tried applying it with a brush and a beauty blender. Overall, I wouldn’t buy it again but I think it would be suited to someone who prefers light coverage and a dewy finish.

Next up is the Ultra Blush Palette in Golden Sugar. I got this in the UK but they did have it stocked in the same chemist that I got the concealer palette. I bought this with a mind for using it as more of a highlighting palette and that’s exactly what I did! I think as a blush palette it could be a bit intense because the shades are so pigmented and shimmered. As a highlighting palette however it is perfect.

This too works out about €8 and I would pay three times that for it. It is excellent value for money for the variety of shades in it and the quality is next to none. My only advice is to use it sparingly to avoid being seen from space 😉

Have any of you tried either palette? Let me know your thoughts here or over on my Instagram @enjoyably_emma 🙂

Until Next Time,
