Hello beautiful people,
This is by no means a New Years resolution post….albeit if it was it would be 4 months late 😉 I would arguably say that from early 2014 to late last year were some of the most least motivating times of my life. I’m not someone who sets lists of goals each year and races to make them happen but I feel like I definitely lived my life very much in the back seat and didn’t step outside of my comfort zone once. If anything I was even uncomfortable in my ‘comfort zone’ for many reasons and became somewhat a shadow of myself.
Late 2015 I woke up one day and decided I’d had enough of feeling like that and got my shit together. I’m still actively working on being the best version of myself I can be but I’m trying and that speaks volumes in itself.
The only challenge I set myself was to take more chances and get out of my comfort zone. Step forward E! Golden Globes Party in London earlier on this year. I literally went from not going out on a Saturday night for months on end to going to a celebrity studded televised event with a room full of strangers and it was one of the best nights of my life!
I’ve been keeping true to the things I’ve decided to do – channel more positivity, explore explore explore, and get my blog back on the road in a major manner. I update my Instagram every day and I’m on a mission to start my Youtube channel properly for the 50th time trying. I’m a perfectionist and when my previous attempts haven’t gone how I had planned I’ve scrapped them but that is going to change so watch this space!
Another thing I’d like to do is collaborate with more fellow irish bloggers. There are so many talented, fabulous and hilarious ones in our emerald isle that getting to know more is 100% on my list.
Always remember we don’t need to abide by the haunt of dates like New Years to make changes. You can better your surroundings and yourself at any time you choose.
Until next time,
