EEK -It’s been FIVE months since my last post. I have been using my Instagram for all my make-up posts and mini reviews (@emzodescapades) but I promise 2016 will be different!
To kick off the new year last Sunday after being invited along, I attended the E! Golden Globes Watch Along party in Central London. The build up to it for the week had me up to ninety considering E! has been a part of my life since Sky was brought out (I know I’m not the only one!) but I eventually stopped being a headless chicken, decided on a dress and before I knew it, it was time to go.
I brought my mum along on this glam adventure and we arrived to our hotel on Sunday and got ready to go. It was on in the lavish 5-star St. Martins Lane hotel, right in the heart of the city and a 5 minute walk from Leicester Square.
We were greeted by a red carpet, had our photo taken and made our way to the party with a glass of prosecco. It was everything I could have imagined – glamour galore! It was hosted by E!’s Sarah Jane Crawford and I’m a Celeb/Union J’s George Shelley. The room was packed with celebrities, fashion designers and bloggers with photo booths, a sweets area, and LCD TVs all around showing the red carpet looks as they happened.
There was a great atmosphere and everyone in the room mingled and chatted for the night in between filming segments for E!. I met quite a few well known people who were all lovely and down to earth 🙂
The invite said to come red carpet ready and because I was under pressure for time I wore a dress I got from Missguided a while back that was perfect 🙂
While there were many high points in the night, the highlight for me (and mummy Ber!) was meeting fashion designer Julien MacDonald. Aside from my mum owning everything hes ever released through Debenhams, his clothes are where I get my appreciation for great fitting dresses and love of prints. Serious *FANGIRL* moment!
Here are some more snaps from the night:
L to R: Jess Wright, Sarah Jane Crawford, George Shelly & Beyonce…oh no wait that’s me (if only!!)
A big thank you to St Martins Lane & E! for having me and pulling out all the stops to give us an unforgettable night. Hopefully this is the first of many!
